The middle school years are perhaps the most impactful years of a student’s life. With all of the changes physically, emotionally and socially, students need skill to help guide them through these challenges. Our programs offer social emotional skills, impulse control, stress reduction, and empowerment to help students navigate these important years.
As students start the transition to adulthood, skills such as self-reflection, stress management, impulse control and emotional regulation are important skills to take as they move on to university and the work force. Our courses empower students to take control of the thoughts that lead to anxiety and learn to be a more compassionate and empathetic global citizen.
Thank you Daisy! You came to talk with us about mindful leadership and I have walked away with a new personal practice that has shifted my thinking and stress.
Not only do our meetings run more smoothly and we actually spend less time debating but I look forward to them now!
MindfullyU Yoga not only taught me to quiet my mind, but I actually improved my swimming times!
I became so interested in yoga through the MindfullyU program that I have now completed my yoga instructor training. I am excited to share all of my skills with other high school students!
Yoga has taught me to control my thoughts and focus on the present. It has given me confidence to try things that I didn’t think I could ever do!
I love that I got to learn math in a different way and explore stuff.
I loved math camp, can I come back next year?
Mindfulness is more than just breathing. It is a way of being aware in your life. Things that I didn’t think about before, like how what I say to others makes an impact, I think about now. Now I think before I speak!
It has been 4 months since you taught me about breathing. I use it every day and I feel more calm and in control. It is something that I will use the rest of my life. Thank you!
Nobody ever talked to me about my emotions, I didn’t realize that stress is just what we perceive! I have learned some valuable techniques for reducing my stress.
