Students are lacking in social emotional strategies and in our ever changing, fast paced world of technology these skills need to be practiced. Students, as well as adults need to be taught techniques that will slow down our rapid pace of life and will empower them with stress reduction and impulse control skills. Our Courses and Curriculum

MindfullyU puts theory into practice. We have created a variety of trainings and curriculum to assist in integrating mindfulness techniques into your classroom, school, school district, business, or personal life.

Little-Classroom

MINDFULLYU

MindfullyU is an 8 to 16 week mindfulness and stress reduction educational program designed for children as well as young adults. Our curriculum is designed to fit the needs of each individual classroom, as well as the school’s needs.

MINDFULLYU YOGA

This program combines elements of mindfulness and yoga in order to give students skills to be successful both inside and outside of the classroom. Using examples connected to nature and the world around them, weekly lessons are fun and educational, all while supplementing existing PBIS and RTI approaches.

MINDSET MATH

Mindset Math Camp is a unique four-week math experience that combines research based math strategies and brain based mindfulness techniques to create an environment of creativity, empowerment, confidence and perseverance in problem solving.

TEACHER IN-SERVICE TRAINING

Designed with the individual needs of the teachers and schools in mind, this training is offered in a variety of different ways. Whether directed toward a general mindfulness overview, personal teacher implementation, or used to focus on classroom behavior modification and RTI, we can design a training that fits any need.

Leaders who are mindful tend to be more effective in understanding and relating to others and motivating them toward shared goals. Our programs offer a mindful leadership and organizational assessment, trainings and an implementation plan that is designed specifically for your business or organization.

what is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of living in the present moment. It is a way of looking at life without judgement and noticing our personal reactions to anything we encounter. Mindfulness can be practiced in many different ways; through controlled breathing exercises, thought shifting, emotional awareness, introspection, compassion and more. Mindfulness has been scientifically proven to lower stress levels and improve overall physical health.

Why mindfulness in schools?

With the need for and proactive intervention, along social emotional education for students, MindfullyU assists schools in turning theory into practice. Students and teachers are faced with daily stressors and these stressors impact neurological, emotional and physical wellbeing, as well as executive function. As educators rethink the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to thrive in our fast-changing society, it is opportune to consider other life skills that can contribute to wellbeing, resilience, academic, and life success. Numerous studies have pointed to the efficacy of mindfulness to help with multiple mental and physical problems such as anxiety, stress, pain, attention-deficit hyperactivity, and mood disorders. In addition, recent studies have also indicated the success of mindfulness in contributing to academic achievement and a higher emotional IQ.
